Dog Security

Our dog security teams provide a highly visible physical deterrent, and when an incident occurs, the team can respond quickly to apprehend and detain the offenders. A Security Dog patrol provides efficient, cost effective protection and can cover an area which would require at least three static guards! The dog’s acute hearing and sense of smell add to it’s value. A guard dog or watch dog is a K9 used to guard against, and watch for, unwanted or unexpected people or animals. The dog is taught so that it does not annoy or attack familiar people. The following pedigree breeds; Miniature schnauzer, West Highland white terrier, Scottish terrier, Australian Shepherd, Doberman pinscher, German shepherd and Rottweiler are considered to be the best at watch dog for barking but for guard dogs, the larger dogs are better.

We use Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers and German Shepherds because they are better deterrent. If the risk is from human intruders, a suitable dog can be simply trained to be aggressive towards unrecognised humans and protect the premises. Most intrusions are at night when nobody is around so dog security is an excellent solution for this. Other guard dogs intended for more supervised work are trained to bite, restrain and release an intruder only on the specific commands of its handler and undergo K9 professional training.
